Desert Willow
Desert Willow likes to grow in low desert environments, along washes, and in areas where it has access to ground water. We can think of it in a similar fashion inside our bodies for its ability to find where moisture collects and redistribute it. When there is vulnerabilities inside of us we can become protective of that area. Theses vulnerabilities stem from false ideas about ourselves that are not a part of our true nature and are often introduced during childhood. Often that part of our body will create phlegm to insulate and protect these sensitive areas. In order for the body to do this it must demand moisture to this part from other areas of the body . We are not talking about fluid retention but sensitive mucous membranes that have become coated with excessive mucous. This environment becomes the host to a habitat of microbial growth. These microbes are drawn to the area to dissolve and transform the false thought forms and can get out of hand when circumstances prevent the from doing so. This can be commonly seen in candida infection as well as excessive rhinitis that turns into a sinus infection. This leads to conditions where you have mixed dryness and dampness within the body. Desert Willow can help in this situation. It can find where areas of stagnant moisture are and clear it up by redistributing it within the body.
